Rockets launch new KARHU sneaker in collaboration with WOEI and Tour de Tietema

The Rockets proudly unveil their latest off-bike statement: a bold and colorful KARHU sneaker, designed in collaboration with renowned Rotterdam sneaker boutique WOEI and content collective Tour de Tietema. The sneaker is a celebration of character, creativity, and the fearless spirit of a team rewriting the rules of professional cycling.

More than just a shoe, the design symbolizes the vibrant identity of the Rockets — a team that blends ambition with performance, both on and off the bike. With a palette that pops and details that nod to the team’s unconventional journey, the sneaker brings cycling culture into lifestyle fashion like never before.

“This sneaker tells you a lot about our story,” says Bas Tietema, founder of Tour de Tietema and team owner of the Unibet Tietema Rockets. “It’s energetic, optimistic and slightly rebellious, just like our riders. We’ve always believed in doing things differently, and this collaboration with WOEI and KARHU shows how cycling can inspire far beyond the road.”

WOEI, known for his distinctive taste and deep roots in sneaker culture, embraced the opportunity to translate the team’s DNA into footwear. The result is a bold fusion of vintage athletic style and modern cycling attitude.

“From the first meeting with Bas and his team, I knew this wasn’t going to be your average collab,” says WOEI Tjin, owner of the WOEI store. “We wanted to create something that captures their energy. We came up with something fun, unpolished, colorful — just like the Rockets themselves.”

The sneaker features premium materials, custom Rockets detailing, and a color scheme that reflects the team’s bold personality, bridging the gap between sport and streetwear.

The Rockets x WOEI x TDT for KARHU sneaker will be available in limited quantities through WOEI Rotterdamand online at karhu.com, woei-webshop.nl, and rocketscycling.com starting July 25, 2025.
