Amstel Gold Race: we are back!
It might not be a monument, but it is certainly the most important race in the cycling-mad Netherlands and we are thrilled to announce that Unibet Tietema Rockets received a wildcard for the Amstel Gold Race on April 20, 2025!
“This is once again a great opportunity for us. Looking back at last year’s unforgettable day at the Geulhemmermolen, where we gave it our all and celebrated with thousands of amazing fans cheering us on, it’s clear how much this race means to us and all fans”, says Bas Tietema.
The whole country knows about the Amstel Gold Race. In the Netherlands, when one identifies as a cyclist, they are often asked if they participate in the Tour de France or the Amstel Gold Race. We are proud to share that we will be competing in the Amstel Gold Race again this year.
Most of the country is as flat as a cyclist’s back when they duck into their aero tuck, but iconic hills such as the Keutenberg, Eyserbosweg, and Cauberg stand out due to their association with the Amstel Gold Race. Established in 1966, this race aimed to rival the prestige of the older Belgian classics and provide the Netherlands with a significant cycling competition.
“We’re ready to do it all over again—ready to push our limits, make you proud, and create even more memories together. To all the fans: we can’t wait to see you along the roads of Limburg, waving flags, shouting our names, and being part of this journey with us”, explains Tietema.
