Exciting news: the Unibet Tietema Rockets have secured a wildcard for the prestigious Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, the grand opener of the Flemish cycling season! This is our chance to line up alongside some of the biggest names in the sport and showcase our team’s potential on Belgian soil.
"Indeed, we will be part of the Opening Weekend, the traditional start of the Flemish cycling spring classics," says Bas Tietema. "In other words, the Unibet Tietema Rockets will start at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad! It’s not only a beautiful race but also one with incredible tradition and history."
The love for Flemish races runs deep in our team’s DNA, especially for team owners Bas, Devin, and Josse. Their personal experiences in cycling give them a true appreciation of the race’s toughness and significance.
