Rockets partner up with Sportmedisch Centrum
Unibet Tietema Rockets and Tour de Tietema are proud to announce Sportmedisch Centrum of the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis as Official Medical Partner. This collaboration marks a significant step in optimizing the health and performance of our athletes, ensuring they receive top-tier medical support and expertise.

The Sportmedisch Centrum is renowned for its advanced sports medical care, offering cutting-edge diagnostics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation programs tailored to professional athletes. With this partnership, Unibet Tietema Rockets and Tour de Tietema riders will have direct access to specialized medical expertise, helping them perform at their peak while prioritizing long-term health.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Sportmedisch Centrum of the Jeroen Bosch Hospital,” said Bas Tietema, owner of Unibet Tietema Rockets. “As a team, we are always looking for ways to improve, and having access to top-level medical expertise is essential. This partnership ensures that our riders get the best possible care, helping them stay healthy and perform at the highest level.”
Tietema continues: “What makes this collaboration even more special is that amateur cyclists can also benefit from the expertise of the Sportmedisch Centrum. Just like our riders, they can undergo tests and screenings to optimize their own performance. This perfectly aligns with our mission at both Unibet Tietema Rockets and Tour de Tietema—to make professional cycling more accessible and inspiring for everyone.”
The collaboration will include regular health screenings, injury prevention programs, and access to sports medical specialists who will work closely with the team’s performance staff. This comprehensive approach aligns with the teams’ vision of continuous development and athlete well-being.
“Cycling is a sport that demands a lot from the body, and taking care of our athletes is a top priority,” added Tietema. “With the support of the Sportmedisch Centrum, we can ensure our riders are not only fit to race but also maintain their well-being for the long run. And the fact that any cyclist can access these same tests and expertise makes this partnership even more valuable—we want to encourage every rider, whether pro or amateur, to take their health and performance seriously.”
The partnership is effective immediately, with both organizations working together to integrate medical expertise into the training and competition schedules of the Unibet Tietema Rockets and Bas, Devin and Josse.
